ANC - Gabon Tame Cameroon's Indomitable Lions
This year's Africa Cup of Nations threw up another upset as Gabon took down one of the tournament favorites, Cameroon, in the first Group D game on January 13, 2010. Georges Mandjeck, who did not pull on international colors on Wednesday, saw his team-mates lose 0-1 to Gabon.

Hull City's Daniel Cousin scored the only goal of the game for Gabon as he took advantage of a defensive mix-up to grab the only goal after 17 minutes, and no amount of Cameroon pressure thereafter could produce an equalizer.
Now, four-time ANC champions Cameroon find themselves under pressure to win their following two games against Tunisia and Zambia. Mandjeck and superstar Samuel Eto'o will face Zambia on Sunday, January 17, 2010.
FCK player Moussa Ouattara and the Burkina Faso national team held tournament favorites Ivory Coast to a 0-0 draw in Monday’s only African Nations Cup Group B game. Ouattara watched the game from the sideline. Burkina Faso will meet Ghana on Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Group B now has three teams competing for two spots in the quarterfinals after Togo pulled out.
