Cameroonian Delight
With 99 days remaining until the World Cup in South Africa, FCK players Georges Mandjeck and Erik Jendrisek faced heavyweights in international friendly matches with their national teams. While there was disappointment for Jendrisek, there was elation for Mandjeck as Cameroon held World Champions Italy to a goalless draw on Wednesday, March 3, 2010.

In Monaco, Georges Mandjeck started for the ‘Untamable Lions’ as Cameroon frustrated Italy by holding them to a goalless draw. The FCK player covered the full distance.
Slovakia and Erik Jendrisek took on Norway in Zilina and had to accept defeat as Moldskred (Rosenborg Trondheim) scored the only goal of the match with 67 minutes on the clock. Erik Jendrisek played the full 90 minutes.
In South Africa, Slovakia (Group F) will face Italy, New Zealand and Paraguay while Cameroon (Group E) will have to play the Netherlands, Denmark and Japan.
Bosnia-Herzegovina did not book a place in the World Cup finals but met World Cup participants Ghana in a friendly game on Wednesday. Dario Damjanovic did not pull on national colors as his team-mates defeated Ghana 2-1 thanks to goals by Vedad Ibisevic and Miralem Pjanic.
