Simunek Undergoes Groin Surgery
FCK defender Jan Simunek needs to undergo inguinal (groin) hernia surgery and will be out of action for about two weeks.

The 23-year-old Czech was diagnosed with the injury in the course of his abdominal muscle strain treatment. Surgery will take place in Munich by surgeon Dr med Ulrike Muschawek on Friday, September 23, 2010.
Simunek has joined 1. FC Kaiserslautern from VfL Wolfsburg in summer 2010. To date, he has made 52 Bundesliga appearances. Moreover, the Czech has made four appearances for his home country.
