FCK Extends Contract with Tobias Sippel
1. FC Kaiserslautern has extended the contract of goalkeeper Tobias Sippel to keep him at the Betzenberg until June 2013. The contract is valid for both the Bundesliga and the Bundesliga second division.
“I am very happy to stay at FCK – not only because I grew up in the Palatinate and I feel at home here but also because I am absolutely sure we can achieve great things together and I want to be part of it,” the 22-year-old shot-stopper, who was born in Bad Dürkheim, stated.
Also Stefan Kuntz, chairman of the FCK board of management, is glad about the contract extension: “Tobias Sippel has been a cornerstone of our team for a long time now and we are happy that he is going to stay with us.”
The former Germany Under-21 national team player (9 caps) has made 17 first division appearances and 73 second division appearances for FCK.
