Amedick Out of Saturday’s Game against Hoffenheim

Amedick suffered a muscle fiber rupture in his right calf in the game against 1. FSV Mainz 05 last Saturday. He will most probably resume team training prior to the Red Devils’ home meeting with Borussia Dortmund on February 12, 2011 (kick-off 6:30 p.m.).
Martin Amedick has made a total of 54 Bundesliga appearances for 1. FC Kaiserslautern and Borussia Dortmund in which he scored three goals. The central defender has made 93 second division appearances for FCK, Eintracht Braunschweig and Arminia Bielefeld and netted nine goals. He has been at 1. FC Kaiserslautern since July 2008.
