Lakic and Amedick new team captain duo
Two days in advance of the first official game of the new season in Braunschweig on Friday, 1. FC Kaiserslautern announces the new team captain. At the beginning of the week, the whole team had elected the new team council for the forthcoming season. Alexander Bugera, Mathias Abel, Tobias Sippel, Martin Amedick and Srdjan Lakic are now part of the council.

Afterwards, Kurz appointed the two players Lakic and Amedick as the new team captain duo.
Due to the fact that FCK forward Lakic will not be absolutely match fit at the start of the new season, FCK defender Amedick will wear the captain’s band in Braunschweig.
“We have agreed that Martin Amedick will generally wear the captain’s band on the field of play. However, it is important that both players are at my disposal as contact persons. They both will have a special position within the team, and they will bear a special responsibility,” Marco Kurz commented on his decision.
