Tiffert Named Team Captain
Bundesliga outfit 1. FC Kaiserslautern has elected the player council for the 2011/12 campaign. The 29-year-old Christian Tiffert has been named team captain.
Martin Amedick, Mathias Abel, Christian Tiffert, Alexander Bugera and Kevin Trapp have been elected to the player council. Afterwards, FCK head coach Marco Kurz appointed Christian Tiffert captain of the Red Devils. The other four members of the player council are possible co-captains.
"It certainly is a great honor to captain the team and I am aware of the responsibility that comes with it. Therefore, I am happy to have the backing of a strong and experienced player council,” Christian Tiffert commented on the announcement.
