LA Galaxy Postseason Tour Cancelled
The Canadian IMC Group Inc, organizer and promoter of the Galaxy’s postseason tour of Germany, announces the cancellation of the friendly game between 1. FC Kaiserslautern and the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Since the tour’s organizer was not able to schedule and fix a second game against another German top team, the Galaxy decided to cancel their postseason tour, citing organizational hitches. Tom Payne, the Galaxy's President of Business Operations, has emphasized the club’s great disappointment about the cancellation. “These matches were to be a great way to conclude the year and we looked forward to playing two excellent matches against top German teams and in front of the great fans in Germany. We look forward to one day being able to play on German soil. We regret this decision but were left with no other choice.”
IMC Group Inc will soon communicate the modalities regarding ticket refunds. 1. FC Kaiserslautern points out that the ticket sales were carried out on behalf of IMC Group Inc and that the proceeds were immediately transmitted to IMC Group Inc.
“We are very disappointed about the cancellation. We were perfectly prepared for the event and our fans looked forward to the game against the Los Angeles Galaxy, David Beckham and Lenny Kravitz. Now we are hoping that the organizer will immediately find a way to fully refund our fans,” Stefan Kuntz, FCK’s chairman of the board of management, commented on the cancellation.
