Sippel Receives Call-up to the German National Team
On Thursday, May 13, 2010, the German national team will meet Malta in a benefit soccer match in Aachen. Much to his surprise and delight, FCK goalkeeper Tobias Sippel has received his first call-up by the German national team coach Joachim Löw.

Up to now, the 22-year-old shot-stopper has played eight times for the Germany Under-21 national team and has made 72 appearances for FCK in the Bundesliga second division.
"When Andreas Köpke called me to tell me that I will be part of the roster, I was lost for words. It is so great and together with being promoted to the top flight with the Red Devils it is the highlight of the season,” Tobi Sippel says.
