Hoffer Joins FCK on Loan
The Austrian forward Erwin Hoffer will be joining 1. FC Kaiserslautern from the Italian Serie A team SSC Naples. FCK and SSC Naples have reached a loan agreement for the 23-year-old. Hoffer, who joined FCK’s team training at the beginning of July, has now signed a one-year loan agreement with the Red Devils. Both parties agreed to keep the terms of the loan deal confidential.

Hoffer has made eight appearances in Serie A for the Italian first division side and was a part of three Cup games (Coppa Italia) last season (one goal). The 23-year-old striker has made 126 appearances for Rapid Vienna and scored 45 goals. Moreover, Hoffer has represented Rapid Vienna six times in European tournaments and scored two goals. He has played 16 times for the Austrian national team and hit the target twice.
“Playing for 1. FC Kaiserslautern offers me the chance to play a more advanced role in the national team again. I am looking forward to wearing the Red Devils’ jersey. I can’t wait to play for such a rich in tradition club like FCK and in front of its amazing fans,” Hoffer said.
"Erwin Hoffer is the type of forward we were looking for. He is a very fast striker with a good eye for goal and he simply fits in really well with our offensive unit,” FCK head coach Marco Kurz commented on the deal.
