Andrew Wooten Signs Pro Contract with FCK
1. FC Kaiserslautern has handed a professional contract to young striker Andrew Wooten. The German-American striker put pen to paper on a three-year deal that will keep him at the club until June 2015. The contract is valid for the top two divisions of German soccer.
The 22-year-old joined FCK’s Under-23 squad at the beginning of the 2009/10 season. He made 90 appearances for FCK’s Under-23 side, scoring 40 goals. Wooten has also made six appearances for the first team, scoring one goal to date. Moreover, Andrew Wooten was called up by the U.S. U-23 National Team to participate in several training camps during the 2011/12 season.
”We are very delighted to have reached this agreement with Andrew Wooten. He has repeatedly proven his eye for goal in the Under-23 team and he has the ability to establish himself as a professional soccer player,” Stefan Kuntz, chairman of the board of management of FCK, commented on the agreement.
